Training in the use of UNCLE is available to all licensed users. Training sessions are scheduled on a client-by-client basis, to be conducted at your site. Primary Training for new users is based on either a two- or three-day itinerary, but may be customized as needed. The first day focuses on basic concepts and usage, exposing the new user to the tools required to manage an UNCLE database and to create tabular output. Subsequent days are spent programming one of the client’s “live” surveys, an optional but extremely useful exercise. This affords the trainee practical experience in a hands-on environment, with exposure to the various data management requests and table-generation options and approaches appropriate to his or her company’s reporting needs. Advanced Training is geared toward the experienced user, concentrating on some of the more powerful tools available in UNCLE. A suggested itinerary is available that may be used either exclusively, as the basis for a more customized training session, or replaced completely with a concentration on those specific areas the client wishes to address. Daily training costs are the same for one or more trainees. Past experience has demonstrated, however, that smaller class sizes result in a more thorough understanding among the participants of the topics covered. The ideal is one-on-one training.
