UPrint is used to view and print the ASCII text output files created by UNCLE PROFESSIONAL and UNCLE STANDARD. In UNCLE, there are two options for print file format: ASCII text files (the default), or Rich Text Format (RTF) files for importation into Microsoft® Word. When an ASCII text file is the choice, the format of this print file will be - by default - 132 print positions in width and 66 rows in length. These can be reset in UNCLE with either (or both) the SET PLINE and SET PAGE requests. UPrint's settings default to this 132 by 66 output and to the font Courier New at size 8 points. Settings can be easily changed to utilize other available fixed-position fonts and point sizes installed on your system. Vertical adjustments can be made to the spacing between rows of text to compensate for changes to the lines-per-page (SET PAGE) in UNCLE. Horizontal adjustments can be made to the spacing between characters within rows to compensate for changes to the characters-per-line (SET PLINE) in UNCLE. These settings are saved for future use, but UPrint's defaults can be easily restored at any time. UPrint’s features include:
